Types of air duct insulation
There are majorly two types of air duct insulations:
1. Reflectix also called duct wrap
2. Fibreglass insulation
Reflectix insulation is a very effective and stable kind of insulation provided to the ducts. It is light in weight and consists of foil faces that hold the bubble packs between its layers. It takes care of the moisture complication within the duct network too.
Fibreglass insulation is a cost-effective solution to the insulation of the ducts. It can be installed very quickly and tends to absorb the majority of the noise. The only problem it has is that it requires to be inspected regularly for any moisture build-up, leading to many further complications.
